Cusco is a hikers dream! Imagine snowy peaks, intensely blue skies, remote Inca ruins, and tiny traditional villages, all visited in just a few days. Ayni Peru operates a multitude of trek routes like this, including many offered nowhere else.
In addition to classic routes such as Choquequirao and the Rainbow Mountain, Ayni Peru is the only operator to visit the Quelccaya Ice Cap, the Inca fortress of Wakra Pukara, and multiple routes in the Ausangate and Vinicunca area. Private Cusco treks are available any day on most routes. A list of adventurous, small group departures can be found on our Group Travel Calendar as well.
Ayni Peru contracts directly with local communities for all possible services. This is particularly apparent on our treks, where you’ll meet and possibly stay overnight in remote villages. We work with locals and clients to create opportunities for unique perspectives and insight, support remote Andean communities, and in general promote a positive and memorable experience for all involved.
In addition to unforgettable scenery and excellent companionship, we offer some of the best trail food in Cusco and comfortable, high-quality equipment. Our cooks prepare fresh, healthy and filling meals prepared with local ingredients whenever possible. Four-season tents with solar lighting, air mattresses, and -15C sleeping bags with fleece liner and hot water bottle depart on each route, and luxury camping upgrades are available for extra comfort.
